CargoON road transport management system is a “digital revolution,” says Trans.eu

According to Trans.eu, the platform encompasses numerous digital solutions and services to optimise and automate processes, communication and documentation linked to road transport management. As it works with the cloud, Trans.eu states CargoON may be easily integrated with SAP and ERP or other TMS systems, while implementation takes just a few weeks. The transition to this system for shippers who are not members of the network is also described as “very simple and cost competitive” by Trans.eu.

The road transport management system is said to incorporate a variety of features, including CargoON Freights, which enables “the intuitive digitisation of the entire transport management process – from planning to collaborating with carriers”. The company adds that the sequential allocation process may also be configured on the basis of specific assignment rules. This means that with just a few clicks, the system allows the placement and control of not only orders with regular suppliers, but also flows on the spot market.

Moreover, the platform features a Simple Tenders service, which Trans.eu says will simplify tenders for freight services, thereby facilitating the establishment of a secure collaboration with new carriers in a very short time.

On top of this, as CargoON is connected to the Trans.eu Platform, it is said to be the only system of this type “which guarantees access to the pan-European network of ten of thousands of verified carriers and forwarders.”

Another feature of the system is the Dock Scheduler, function, which is also available as a standalone product. According to Trans.eu, it “allows for a time-optimised management of docks and ramps whose capacity may be defined in the system and thus fully utilized.” The company adds that IT-supported determination of time periods for loading and unloading also allows firms to meet their desired service levels, as well as increase customer satisfaction and avoid demurrage at the same time.

Ksenia Fiuk, Customer Order Fulfillment Manager at steel profile manufacturer MFO S.A, says the Dock Scheduler allowed the company to increase its warehouse capacity “by about 23-24% in no time” without the need for additional staffing or equipment.

Other aspects of the product include the Visibility function, which provides real-time status updates on loads, giving customers the ability to react quickly react if something goes wrong. The supplier providing the transport service also receives the real-time updates through the network.

In the opinion of Trans.eu, this all means that CargoON ensures the end-to-end digitalization” of supply chains.

This, in turn, naturally brings savings, increases productivity and boosts transparency with all stakeholders connected to the platform – from the shipper, through forwarders, and ending with carriers and drivers. Moreover, such digital solutions also reduce empty mileage and therefore support the ecosystem in reducing CO2 emissions.
