DHL advertising airport warehouse jobs paying up to £43,000

DHL is looking to fill more than 40 warehousing vacancies at its East Midlands Airport[1] distribution centre – offering salaries of up to GBP43,000 a year . The international courier service runs a large freight operation out of the Leicestershire air hub, with one of it’s largest UK warehouses located nearby. It is looking for people in Leicester and Leicestershire to join its ranks and fulfil a wide range of roles.

: The Christmas jobs in Leicestershire you can apply for right now[2] They include warehouse operatives and shift managers, reports DerbyshireLive[3]. Employee benefits also include flexible working, retail discounts, medical cover and a 25-day holiday entitlement, the company says.

The job search website states that full-time warehouse workers at the Castle Donington[4] distribution site earn a minimum of GBP19,500 a year.

DHL is currently leasing the premises at the SEGRO Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway, in a deal struck last year that will last until 2030. The firm has said it is looking to create more than 1,000 jobs for people across Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands region in the next few years. Despite the East Midlands Gateway development yet to be completed, the giant business park is already home to severl large names in the logistics world.

They include XPO Logistics, Amazon, Very, Kuehne and Nagel. With planning permission currently for up to 6,000,000 sq ft of warehousing and logistics space, the park is situated next to the airport and junction 23a of the M1. There remain a number of vacant plots which will help to boost the number of jobs at the park towards the 7,000 mark once construction is complete.

It also boasts an onsite rail freight terminal serving the UK’s large sea ports and the Channel Tunnel freight operation.
